The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System is a nationally accepted certification program for the design, construction and operation of green buildings. LEED promotes a whole-building approach to energy conservation and sustainability by focusing on key performance areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, material selection, and indoor environmental quality.
This information, appearing on the Cool Metal Roofing Coalition website, shows places where it may be possible to accrue LEED credits by utilizing metal roofing for a given building’s design.
