Prepared for the Cool Metal Roofing Coalition (CMRC) by Architectural Energy Corporation of San Francisco, CA, this 31-page report addresses the requirements related to roofs in the 2005 Building Energy Efficiency Standards—and their impact on metal roofs in particular—with a special focus on office buildings and warehouses as examples. An executive summary provides an overview of prescriptive roof requirements, and analyses of using both envelope tradeoff and whole building methods as a means to compliance.
