Published by the Industrial Perforators Association (IPA), the Formability Handbook details the results of a study sponsored by the IPA and conducted by the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Ohio State University. The goals of the research were to measure the formability of perforated sheets of stainless steel and aluminum to learn the effect of the percentage of open area on formability; the effect of thickness and hole size on formability; and the differences in the formability of varying alloys of aluminum and types of stainless steel. The handbook is available in print form, but can be viewed online and downloaded as a PDF file.
