This 16-page document highlights the findings of an extensive study, commissioned by the Zinc-Aluminum Coaters Association (ZAC), looking at the longevity of Galvalume-coated steel roofs on buildings in different environments in the United States and Europe. Many of the roofs included in the study were more than 25 years old but still in great condition. Some of the roofs had been examined for similar studies in 1994 and 1999 and photos from those inspections are included in the report. Based on the most recent condition surveys, investigators believe these roofs will have at least a 40-year service life.
