This guide, published by the North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), helps steer architects and contractors to insulation systems that can bring their projects into compliance with ASHRAE 90.1 (1989 and 2001) energy efficiency standards. The guide includes examples of typical metal building insulation methods and their associated U-values, and contains a map to show the required ASHRAE numbers by region. The guide includes insulation options for buildings with screw-down roofs and side walls, and two options for insulating below metal roof systems (standing seam and screw-down).
