Rigid Global Buildings Supplies 13 Metal Building Framing Packages For Christian Center's Construction
The Summit Christian Center is not your ordinary worship center. Yet the method used to construct the 137,000 sq. ft. building is becoming the standard in church construction. Located on Marshall Road in San Antonio, TX, the multi-million dollar facility was built using metal building systems and components from Rigid Global Buildings of Houston, TX.
The Summit Christian Center is a non-denominational gathering place intended to be both empowering and fun. The building features an auditorium, main foyer, indoor Carousel, food court, multi-purpose/youth area, loading docks and a Porte Cochere. The main auditorium is approximately 70,000 sq. ft. feet. The project was designed by Church Design Build Services Inc. of Houston, TX. Utilized by the firm for the building’s construction were 13 different metal building framing configurations, including packages as large as 220’ x 320’ x 50’ and 20’ x 660’ x 15’, and others as small as 27’ x 20’ x 15’. The contractor was Bartlett Cocke LP of San Antonio.
Portions of the building are topped with Rigid’s 24-gauge Platinum Series 18” standing seam roofing and clad with the company’s 26-gauge Reversed R-panel with a Galvalume Plus finish. Because the building is designed with high fire ratings, Rigid supplied all Black Iron. RGB also provided the bleachers for the facility and the structural supports for lighting and AV equipment.
