Wisconsin Retail Center Features Star Metal Building System & Roofing
Totaling 20,500 square feet, the Stoughton Road Retail facility in Madison, WI, utilized Star Building Systems’ metal building framing, along with the StarShield Roof System in a Galvalume finish. Completed in December of 2008, this retail center utilized a Star metal building due to its design capabilities and cost efficiency.
A custom Star metal building provided an economical solution for this project while still accommodating exterior finishes that were approved by The City of Madison’s Urban Design Commission. KSW Construction Corporation, the Star Builder, and Dimension IV of Madison put together a plan for this project and saved the building owner nearly $50,000 by using innovative solutions.
All steel for the project was provided by Star; however the exterior light-gauge framing around the perimeter utilizes conventional methods consisting of masonry block, hardie board and horizontal siding.
The Star Builder was KSW Construction Corporation, Madison, WI. The steel erector was Badgerland Metal Building Erectors, Waunakee, WI. The architect was Dimension IV- Madison, LLC, Madison, WI.
