CENTRIA Products Align With Car Dealership’s High-End Design Objectives
The new Star Motors Dealership in Houston, TX, was constructed to house prestigious car brands, including Aston Martin, Volvo, Lotus and Mercedes-Benz. The architects of the dealership designed the exterior façade of the facility to be as contemporary, chic and high end as the cars inside. Every aesthetic aspect of the building from the pristine, white finish to the smooth, sharp angles and articulate landscape harmonize with the elegant and exclusive products and services Star Motor Dealership provides its customers.
CENTRIA’s Formawall Dimension Series was the obvious choice for the wall cladding of the Star Motor Car Dealership because of its customizable, contemporary aesthetic options that provide designers with unlimited possibilities in form, color and texture. The Regal White color with the embossed coating provides a sleek exterior look to the facility and aligns with the project team’s goal of creating a modern, high-end design.
In addition to aesthetic value, Formawall Dimension Series provides superior performance benefits to the dealership as it is the only wall system that provides advanced thermal efficiency and moisture control in a single panelized component. Offering both strength and durability, Formawall Dimension Series withstands drastic climate changes and is the first-ever exterior wall system to earn Cradle-to-Cradle® Silver Certification.
CENTRIA’s C/S Louvers, which are drainable and storm-resistant, integrate seamlessly with the Formawall Dimension Series panels and add both aesthetic value and advanced performance to the overall project. The C/S Louvers are an integral part of the structure and help eliminate exhaust from the cars stored on the floors of the facility.
The designer/general contractor for this project was Boatman Design Build, Inc. of Houston, TX; the CENTRIA products dealer was Wade Architectural Systems of Humble, TX; and the CENTRIA products installer was Byrne Metals Corp. of Porter, TX. The facility was completed in 2007.
