Dri-Design Zinc Panels Create Dramatic Look For Cincinnati Residence
Approximately 5,400 sq. ft. of Dri-Design Panels in two aspects of zinc--VM Quartz and Anthra Zinc--were used to create a stunning design for a Cincinnati, Ohio residence.
The patented Dri-Design Wall Panel System is an affordable dry joint, pressure-equalized rainscreen system. Panels for the system can be fabricated from a variety of materials including painted aluminum, zinc, copper and stainless steel. All are 100% recyclable. Painted panels are available in any Kynar color, and all panels are available in both standard and custom sizes.
Design for the upscale 5,000 sq. ft. residence was provided by Jose Garcia Design, Cincinnati. The firm has used zinc before in residential design and liked it, according to Jose Garcia. “The zinc panels give you a fantastic look for a reasonable cost with low to no maintenance,” said Garcia. “Although this was our first experience with Dri-Design, we are very familiar with the rainscreen attachment method. We’ve used it very successfully in numerous commercial and residential projects. The Dri-Design panels were particularly interesting to us because of the look and the superior performance.”
A wide range of custom panel sizes (more than 110 different sizes) was used to create interesting detailing and reveals. Installation was handled by Kelley & Carpenter Refrigeration & Sheet Metal, Hamilton, OH.
About Dri-Design
Founded in Holland, Michigan in 1995, Dri-Design's signature product is an economically priced, 100% recyclable, pressure-equalized dry-joint rainscreen metal wall system that utilizes panels manufactured from PDVF-finished aluminum, anodized aluminum, zinc, copper, stainless steel, embossed stainless steel or titanium. Panels are offered in standard module sizes but can be produced in custom dimensions as well. Variations of the standard systems include the company’s Tapered and Shadow systems. Dri-Design also offers a revolutionary imaging technology which sculpts three-dimensional pixels into Dri-Design panels to reflect light and form images. The process can be used to create everything from hanging artwork to building-sized exterior murals. To learn more about the company's products, visit www.dri-design.com.
