S-5-PV KITS USED ON MINI WAREHOUSE SOLAR INSTALLATION
Due to high electric rates, business owners in Puerto Rico are constantly looking for ways to contain energy costs. Solar panel arrays are one solution, but hurricane-force winds and high moisture levels present installation challenges.
Florida-based WES Industries was able to help Mini Warehouse of Carolina, Puerto Rico successfully move ahead in its efforts to save on energy costs. The client took advantage of a tax incentive to install 768 solar power modules on over 25,000 sq. ft. of roof area. The use of the S-5-PV Kits led to a fast and economical transition to solar technology. The contractor was able to complete the installation at just 25% of the cost of other solar attachment systems…and without putting any holes in the original roof panels, which can void the metal roofing warranty and invite leaks. The penetration-free installation was made possible with the S-5-PV Kit’s patented attachment clamps. Without piercing the panels, the clamps grip the standing seams, preserving the roof’s integrity and providing uplift resistance in the face of winds up to 145 mph.
