Insulated Metal Wall Panels Provide Distinctive Look With Rockwall Stone Aggregate Finish
This corporate headquarters for London Bridge Trading Company in Virginia Beach, Virginia, includes offices and manufacturing operations. The structure uses both ESP 300 and ESP 500 Rockwall panels by Insulated Panel Systems.
ESP panels are ideal for applications that require a flat appearance. Minor striations in the exterior skin provide for a linear appearance in vertical applications while blending with the side joint of the panels. The Tecfoam panels are filled with non CFC polyurethane modified isocyanurate foam to achieve high R-values.
Designed to serve dual roles as an office and a manufacturing structure, the superior insulating qualities of the building help to provide consistently efficient in-place operating costs. At the same time, the building achieves the aesthetically pleasing look of granite at a fraction of the cost by using the Rockwall coating which provides the advantage of steel wall panel construction with the durable beauty of stone aggregate. The coating process bonds real stone aggregate to the steel panels with a super adhesive system.
The project’s general contractor was Atlantic Builders, LLC and the architect/designer was Evan J. McCorkle and Associates. Both firms are located in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
