ACM Panels By RCA Metal Lend To Office Building's Clean, High-Tech Look
RCA Metal Inc., A VICWEST Company located in Memramcook, New Brunswick, Canada, fabricated the nearly 6,000 sq. ft. of architectural panels specified as part of the design of the Kenneth C. Rowe Management Building in Halifax, Novia Scotia, Canada. The panels were fabricated from ALPOLIC aluminum composite material, which is produced by Mitsubishi Chemical FP America Inc.
The building’s design involved a pair of architects: Shore Tilbe Irwin & Partners of Toronto, and J.K. Dobbs and Associates, Halifax. The project’s general contractor was Pomerleau of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, while Alvin Construction of Halifax handled the installation of the ACM panels.
In addition to being used for portions of the building’s walls, ACM material was fabricated to cover the building’s five-story columns and to clad the entrance canopy those columns support. Cut into the canopy ceiling is a pair of circular skylights which, along with the extensive amounts of glass and metal, lend to the building’s crisp, modern look.
