Complex Features Firestone UNA-CLAD™ Metal Roofing, Soffit Panels And Trim Stock
Diamond Jo Casino is a state-of-the-art casino and entertainment facility located at the Port of Dubuque in Iowa. The complex includes almost 1,000 slot machines, a bowling alley, restaurants, bars, retail stores, an entertainment theatre and parking ramp.
The casino features 35,000 square feet of 24-gauge UNA-CLAD™ UC-4 no-clip standing seam metal roof panel system with 4,100 square feet of UNA-CLAD UC-500 soffit panels. 22,500 square feet of 20-gauge coil stock was fabricated for the built-in gutter and fascia system, along with 12,000 square feet of flat sheet stock that was fabricated for copings, counterflashings, downspouts, flashing and trim work. All of the metal products were Hemlock Green with a Kynar® 500 finish.
Diamond Jo Casino also features a combined 71,000 square feet of fully adhered 60-mil Firestone UltraPly™ TPO on the low slope portion of the complex’s roof and the covered stairwell roofs that are part of the parking ramp. Tapered ISO 95+ GL polyiso insulation was also specified for this project with the help of Firestone’s Tapered Engineering Design Department. Both the single-ply and metal Firestone roofing systems are covered under a 20-year Firestone Red Shield® Warranty.
The project team consisted of roofing contractor Geisler Brothers Company, Dubuque, IA, and architect YWS, Las Vegas, NV.
