Michigan Medical Facility Uses Multiple Petersen Panel Profiles
St. Joseph Mercy Health Center in Canton, MI has opened the Center For Advanced Medicine & Surgery. The 53,000 sq. ft. outpatient facility offers a variety of advanced services - some of which are normally found only at full-service hospitals.
Several Petersen panel profiles were selected to meet the design objectives for the $20 million project. Approximately 13,200 sq. ft. of 24 gauge, 18” Snap-Clad panels were utilized on the main portion of the roof in addition to 3,800 sq. ft. of 24 gauge, 16” Tite-Loc panels utilized to clad the barrel roof and entrance canopy. Approximately 2,800 sq. ft. of 12” Flush panels were used for soffit and trim applications. Plus, Petersen Composite Wall panels were used in fascia and column cover applications. All panels were finished in Hemlock Green.
Installation of the Petersen panels was done by Lutz Roofing Company, Shelby Township, MI. “The radius panels were long - 60 feet. The challenge was getting them up to the roof,” said Jim Borgiel, project manager. “And, of course, we had a tight timeframe but we’re accustomed to that. The job turned out great.”
Design for the project was provided by HKS Architects, Farmington Hills, MI. The general contractor was George W. Auch Company, Pontiac, MI.
