European-Engineered Underlayment Addresses Leaky Seams, Moisture Problems And Noise Reduction For Metal Roofing
West Vancouver, BC, Canada - Nordic Waterproofing Inc. announces the introduction of RoofAquaGuard Dry-Tech. Designed for use with metal roofs, Dry-Tech allows airflow between the roof deck and the metal panels. The two-in-one product combines the benefits of a breathable roofing underlayment with an air convection layer. The attached breathable underlayment with a perm rating of 146 can also be used as a ventilated siding material.
Dry-Tech has an outer layer of polypropylene monofilament mesh 1/3” in height, bonded to a hydrophobic, water-repelling, highly-breathable underlayment.
Dry-Tech is not susceptible to street noise, or wind; the acoustic value is 8 decibels. It has also high tensile and nail strength.
To the top edge of Dry-Tech a 5” peel-and-stick overlap is applied, preventing wind-driven rain. It allows movement between the outer panels and deck structure, and it will not bond with the underside of metal panels in hot conditions. Dry-Tech prevents condensation that occurs on the underside of metal panels from re-entering the roof structure, as any build-up of moisture between the roof panels and Dry-Tech will be channeled safely to the eaves due to the design of the 1/3” polypropylene mesh.
Dry-Tech can be laid horizontally or vertically and can be used as a temporary waterproofing barrier with a maximum UV exposure of 120 days. The product comes with a limited 35-year warranty.
