Deland, FL – Kingspan Insulated Panels North America, a global manufacturer of insulated metal panels, has announced the launch of its Legacies are Built campaign. Predicated on the notion that Kingspan products partner in and facilitate legacies, the new campaign features a series of ads that suggest the inspiration and creative design of architects will survive well into the future thanks to the aesthetic appeal, durability, longevity and sustainability of Kingspan’s insulated metal panels.

“Research shows that architects strive to build legacies that will endure, positively impacting society and in the process, projecting themselves into the world,” said Louise Foody, marketing manager, Kingspan Insulated Panels North America. “As the manufacturer of attractive, durable, sustainable and energy efficient insulated metal wall and roof panels, Kingspan equips architects with the raw materials and tools they need to build long-lasting structures that bear their unique design signatures.”

In addition to advertisements, a new microsite – www.legaciesarebuilt.com – will support the Legacies are Built campaign. The microsite includes a video describing the campaign and a section that explains how Kingspan can help architects build their legacies.

The site also invites architects and architectural students to participate in the Kingspan Legacy Contest, a paper craft contest in which participants use paper to design and construct a legacy-worth structure. Kicked off at the AIA 2011 National Convention and Design Exposition, contestants can register for the competition online and download contest materials from the microsite, or they can request that Kingspan mails them the necessary materials. The first-place winner will receive a $5,000 scholarship in their name to an educational institution of their choice, as well as an Apple MacBook Pro. In addition, the winning entry will be published as part of an ad in the November issue of ‘Architect’ magazine. Second and third place winners will each receive an Apple iPad 2. Winners will be announced at Greenbuild 2011 in Toronto, Oct. 4-7.

As they contribute to the legacies of architects and building owners, Kingspan’s insulated metal panels also support the path to net-zero energy targets and Kingspan’s commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its products and services. “Achieving net-zero building is a legacy to which Kingspan is proud to contribute,” added Foody. “So as we launch the Legacies are Built campaign, we acknowledge the role we all play – manufacturers, architects and building owners  – in creating important and enduring legacies that will help to ensure a healthy, efficient and sustainable future.”
