Green Span Profiles And McElroy Metal Announce Joint Venture
Waller, TX – Green Span Profiles and McElroy Metal have joined forces in the construction and operation of an Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) manufacturing facility in Waller, TX. The announcement was jointly released by Kelly Ginn, president of Green Span Profiles, and Ian McElroy, president of McElroy Metal.
McElroy Metal brings over four decades of metal panel manufacturing experience to the new venture, and Green Span Profiles offers direct experience in the insulated panel marketplace. In addition, the Green Span team has a combined 70 years of experience in the metal construction industry.
The 70,000 square foot manufacturing facility should be operational in the fourth quarter of 2011 and will initially manufacture a full array of insulated metal wall panels ranging from 2–6 inch thicknesses. The company will operate under the Green Span Profiles nameplate, and Kelly Ginn will serve as the firm’s president and CEO.
“Green building practices and a growing focus on energy efficient building design indicate a great future for insulated metal panels. We believe the timing of this joint venture is ideal,” said Ginn.
“Since early 2010, we were looking for a way to participate in the IMP market, and all of a sudden the opportunity to enter into the partnership with Kelly materialized. When Kelly and I first discussed the partnership, I quickly realized there were many synergies between ourselves and our companies. We have both been involved in the metal construction industry for a long time and it is nice to join forces,” said McElroy.
