Carpenter Promoted To VP Of Operations At Sno Gem

McHenry, IL - Sno Gem, Inc., a McHenry, IL-based corporation specializing in the manufacture and distribution of snow retention systems for metal, slate, shingle and membrane roof systems around the world, has announced the promotion of James T. Carpenter to Vice President of Operations.

Carpenter, who has been with the company for 15 years, has been instrumental in the growth and development of Sno Gem. Upon joining the company, his functions have included marketing, attending industry trade shows and developing product sales. For the past 10 years, he has served as the Director of Sales and Marketing, while managing a staff dedicated to the sales of the entire Sno Gem product line.

Michael V. Smeja, company founder and one of its principals today, said “We are extremely proud of Jim and his achievements.”

Carpenter, is a Crystal Lake, IL native and resides there currently. He was a 1991 graduate of Crystal Lake High School, where he was an all-area, all-state basketball player. He studied business at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio before joining Sno Gem in 1997. He has two children, Cade, 11, and Reece, 8.

Sno Gem snow guards are designed to protect pedestrian traffic, landscaping, gutters and mechanical equipment from snow and ice slides.
