Berger Snow Meister Snow Guard Now For Snap Lock Panels Too
Feasterville, PA – Berger Building Products has introduced its latest in an extensive line of Snow Retention products, the SL-1 Snow Guard. This popular snow retention product has been redesigned to fit 1" Snap Lock Panel. The throat width has been increased to 41/64" (0.64") and a leg lip has been added to allow the guard to “snap” over the seam for a smooth and quick installation.
Greatly reducing the potential for damage from snow slides and ice dams, the SL-1 will fit most 1" Snap Lock and 1" Single Lock panels. It attaches using stainless steel set screws that dimple the metal but don’t penetrate the surface.
The SL-1 is made from lightweight, durable die cast aluminum. It is available in Mill Finish, Black Primer and Custom Colors to match the roof.
The addition of snow guards on a new or existing metal roof, especially over entryways, sidewalks and other places where people are most likely to be, can help save building owners money through reduced insurance premiums. It is important though that guards be added in sufficient quantity according to a prescribed pattern in order to be effective. Placement will vary from region to region and will be influenced by roof pitch, the lengths of roof runs and roof features.
