14th Edition Of AISC Steel Construction Manual Now Available
Chicago, IL – The American Institute of Steel Construction’s (AISC) 14th Edition Steel Construction Manual is now available in hard copy format. As a result, AISC will no longer accept orders for the 13th Edition. Orders for the 14th Edition may be placed through AISC’s online bookstore at www.aisc.org/store.
The 14th Edition AISC Manual is based on the 2010 AISC Specification for Structural Steel Buildings (ANSI/AISC 360-10). A concerted effort was made in the development of both the Specification and Manual to limit the number of changes. “AISC is aware of the difficulty experienced by the structural engineering profession when dealing with the frequent changes in building codes and material standards,” said Cynthia Duncan, AISC director of engineering. “For this reason, the technical revisions in the 14th Edition Manual are limited.”
The 2010 AISC Specification is available for free downloading on the AISC website at www.aisc.org/2010spec. It supersedes the 2005 version (ANSI/AISC 360-05) and has been approved by the AISC Committee on Specifications and is ANSI-accredited.
A hard copy version of the 14th Edition Manual is $175 for AISC members and $350 for nonmembers.
