Description: This two-day course is recommended to consultants and specifiers and building owners who would like a concentrated learning experience leading to a broad understanding of the principles of metal roofing. Technical issues covered include: The history and basic principles of metal roofing, Advanced construction details for steep (hydrokinetic) and low-slope (hydrostatic) metal roofing, Common design errors - learn how to avoid them, How to reroof with metal, including: slope conversions, reroofing techniques over existing metal and other substrates, and the economics of metal reroofing, Also, methods of curving roof panels and snow retention systems. Instructors for this program are Rob Haddock, President of the Metal Roof Advisory Group and Gerald Teitsma, RRO, RRC, Director of Education for RCI.
