Description: The Energy Efficient Building Envelope Technology course was developed by ATAS International to help architects understand that green building is realistic with metal products. By the end of the lessons, architects should be able to demonstrate an improved understanding while learning how metal cladding on roofs and walls can contribute to a sustainable building initiative. Concepts and technology of a Building Integrated Photovoltaic System (BIPV), the combination of solar reflectance and thermal emittance with Above Sheathing Ventilation (ASV) for Cool Metal Roofing and the function of Transpired Solar Collectors are reviewed.
